Cross Country in Bourbon County

HCXC raced at the Bourbon County Colonel Charge on Saturday. Our boys’ varsity team finished third and was led by Wesley Buck (3rd overall), Kent Stamper (14th), and Owen Donegan (20th). The varsity girls also finished third and were led by Billie Phemister (3rd overall), Sophia Anderson (6th), and Caroline Warren (15th). Our jv boys team won the jv boys’ 4K race, with Thomas Hoellein (3rd), Brewer Bartley (4th), and Max Mangas (5th) leading the way; an impressive seven of the top 10 finishers in this race were Henry Clay runners. Our jv girls' team finished second, and Zoe Kasacavage (4th), Airy Van Steenbergh (7th), and Ashton Flueck (8th) all placed in the top 10. 15 of our runners set new personal records at this meet! The Devils are looking strong going into this Saturday’s highly competitive Trinity/Valkyrie Invitational at Tom Sawyer Park in Louisville.
